Registration and Refund Policy

Review the current cancellation and refund terms. The version accepted for your registration governs your booking.

Any required acceptance and signatures are collected during registration.

    Version 2 · Published November 4, 2026

Camp Season. The Camp runs one week each year. Registration opens only in
that calendar year, for that year's camp week. Your registration confirmation
identifies your camper and the departure day and return day for that week.

    1. Deposit and actual costs

A $150 deposit for the registration reserves
your family's registered spaces and is included in the enrollment price. For
cancellations received more than 30 calendar days before departure day, and for
qualifying medical-emergency withdrawals under Section 2 at any time, the
following deposit rule applies. If the Camp resells the affected space
for the same week, the deposit is refunded less the Camp's actual, reasonable
processing costs, capped at $25. If the space is not resold, the Camp may retain
up to $150 only for documented, reasonable enrollment costs and losses it cannot
avoid. Where this deposit rule applies, the Camp credits resale proceeds and avoided costs and
does not recover the same loss from both the deposit and program fees.
For ordinary cancellations received 30 or fewer calendar days before departure
day, the no-refund rule in Section 2 applies, subject to applicable law.

    2. Refunds of program fees

    1. Medical emergency, at any time: program fees are refunded in full when
a medical emergency prevents the camper from attending or continuing camp,
supported by a note from a doctor or other licensed medical provider confirming
that need. No diagnosis or complete medical record is required. The deposit
is handled under Section 1 and is not automatically refunded in full.
    2. Billing error: an amount charged in error is refunded within three business
    days of identifying the error.
    3. More than 30 calendar days before departure day: program fees are
refundable; the deposit is handled under Section 1.
    4. 30 or fewer calendar days before departure day: no refund is offered for
an ordinary cancellation, including the deposit and program fees, even if
the space is later resold. Notice received on the date exactly 30 calendar
days before departure day is included in this rule. Medical emergencies and
billing errors follow items 1 and 2. Any refund required by applicable law
    remains available.

These rules also govern refunds following dismissal or a broker violation.
Ending participation does not create a separate forfeiture or additional
penalty. Nothing in this Policy authorizes an unenforceable penalty or limits
a refund or other remedy required by applicable law. Where a deposit refund is
available under Section 1, partial or discounted resale is accounted for and a
later resale may increase that deposit refund.

    3. Cancellation requests and processing

    A parent/guardian or authorized
payer may request cancellation by email to questions@campsequoialake.info,
identifying the camper and registration. Cancellation takes effect when the
request is received, using America/Los_Angeles time. The Camp acknowledges the
request and provides an itemized calculation showing payments, the deposit,
any retained amount and any refund. Refunds due under this Policy or applicable
law are initiated within ten business days of receipt; later resale adjustments are initiated within ten
business days of the resale. A final reconciliation is provided within 30 days
after return day. The bank or card issuer may take additional time to post funds.
Refunds return to the original payer and payment method where practicable.

For a multi-camper booking, cancellation and resale are assessed per affected
camper, with discounts and shared charges allocated consistently. Scholarships
    and third-party funding are reconciled to their funder and applicable restrictions;
they are not refunded to a family as if the family had paid those amounts.
Separately identified voluntary donations follow their disclosed donation terms.

    4. Final payment

All amounts are due 14 days before departure day, including
the final installment. If payment is not received, the Camp may release the space
after attempting to contact the family. Payments already made are refunded under
Section 2, measured from the date the space is released.

    5. Methods and card surcharge

Available payment methods appear at checkout.
Any permitted credit-card surcharge is shown separately before confirmation and
is limited to the lower of applicable card-network limits and the Camp's actual
cost of acceptance. Debit and prepaid cards are not surcharged. A full or partial
refund includes the corresponding full or proportional surcharge. An offered
non-card method avoids the card surcharge.

    6. Installments

Families may choose an available plan whose final payment
falls no later than 14 days before departure day. The exact dated amounts,
including applicable surcharges, and permission to store and charge a card appear
in a separately signed Installment Payment Authorization at checkout. Plans that
cannot fit before the deadline are not offered. Enrollment cancellation stops
    new automatic attempts while the refund or remaining obligation is determined;
payments already processing must be reconciled. Revoking automatic-payment
permission does not itself cancel enrollment or erase an otherwise valid balance.

    7. Enforced closure and force majeure

If the Camp is cancelled, shortened,
or evacuated for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including wildfire,
wildfire smoke or air-quality orders, public-health orders, extreme weather,
loss of facility access or utility failure, no refund is provided for that
closure, whether it occurs before departure day or after the week begins,
except where a refund is required by applicable law. Camp fees fund advance
facility and program commitments, including rental-facility payments that
remain payable and cannot be recovered when an outside event forces closure.
No automatic credit or transfer to a future camp week is promised; any such
arrangement requires the Camp's separate written approval. The Camp is not
liable for related travel or other outside costs, except where applicable law
    provides otherwise. This section addresses Camp-initiated enforced closures;
individual medical-emergency withdrawals are reviewed separately under Section 2.
Nothing in this section waives a refund or remedy required by applicable law.
Future credits do not open registration before the year in which the future
    camp week is hosted.

    8. General terms

California law governs. If a provision is unenforceable,
the remainder continues to apply. The version accepted for the registration
remains its governing version; later revisions are not silently substituted.

By signing, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Policy.
